Francisco is a business development executive with more than 15 years of experience in the Agtech, Agribusiness and Government Sectors. He has a proven track record for delivering sales results securing contracts in markets such as Chile, Peru, California and Australia.
Based in Santa Monica, California, Francisco is the founder of MFCS, a strategic business development firm which assists companies to expand into Latin America. His clients include leading companies in Silicon Valley such as Calysta, a biotech company that transforms natural gas into protein to feed salmon, Biofiltro, an Agtech company that has a sustainable wastewater treatment system for fruit processors and Invest Victoria, the investment attraction agency of the state of Victoria, Australia.
Prior to founding MFCS, Francisco was the Head of the Trade and Investment Commission of Chile in North America, responsible for designing and executing Chile’s commercial strategy and leading a team of 25 people across the nine offices of Chile in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Francisco also acted as Trade Commissioner of Chile in California were he advised Chilean companies with their go-to-market strategy and promoted priority sectors including Tech, Biotech and Agtech.
Prior to the Trade Commission, Francisco worked as a Senior Product Manager at Agrosuper, the largest Agribusiness holding in Chile where he led the development and launch of the company’s premium CPG brand “La Crianza”. He was responsible for leading the entire business unit including product R&D, commercial launch of the brand and the management of an exclusive sales team achieving annual sales of $20 million over a period of three years.
Francisco earned his MBA from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia and has a bachelor degree in business administration from Universidad Catolica in Santiago, Chile.
